The long winter days really will mess with my mental state. With this mental hiccup comes an internal sludge to push through our long winter weather. Hence my addiction to caffeinated drinks that will get me moving. So today we are going to discuss does RYZE Mushroom Coffee Actually Work?
Could RYZE mushroom coffee be the answer to my love of caffeinated stimulants to give me the energy needed to operate our homestead?

It’s been 9 years since I gave up drinking coffee. I wasn’t an avid coffee drinker, but I did use my caffeinated cup of joy to push me to move in the mornings as well as in the afternoons.
When I realized my anxiety increased with my daily cups of coffee I switched to decaf. After a couple weeks of headaches, I found that my anxiety was much less and my mental health was overall better. I realized I could ditch the decaf as well but then came my preworkout addiction.
What started as my morning boost to get moving to lift weights turned into my afternoon boost as well. God only knows what is in the preworkout I’d consumed but it did give me the energy I craved.
Recently I’d heard of RYZE – mushroom coffee and figured it can’t hurt to try.
The health benefits of mushrooms are pretty impressive.

When I started researching RYZE mushroom coffee and saw that it pretty much summed up my physical needs with a handful of varying mushrooms I thought well shoot time to give it a try.
Focus, stamina, stress relief, immunity, digestion, and inflammation are all things in my body that could use a boost or two so I placed my order.
Now I didn’t have high hopes for taste, and I’ll be honest it tastes like warm water with a hint of earth? For my first cup I used my favorite tea kettle heated some water and stirred in my scoop of mushroom coffee. Taste…not really much to write home about. Smell? ”Mushroomy” is that even a word?

So I opted for another option, mixing my RYZE mushroom coffee scoop for the day in with my morning protein shake. No taste with this route, but definitely in a week or two I noticed a difference especially with my gut health.
Does RYZE Mushroom Coffee Actually Work?
Some Pros with Mushroom Coffee I noticed
- Mental clarity, check.
- Bloating gone, check.
- No anxiety with the additional energy.
- No coffee breath.
- Bathroom regularity (eek everybody poops so I guess here we are)
- What I call an anxious stomach, also gone.
Is this a placebo? Possible, but I found that I had a cleaner energy if that even makes sense.
Some cons to RYZE mushroom coffee
- Taste, doesn’t taste like coffee, like at all. I’m not a foodie by any means I’ll drink or eat just about anything if it helps with overall health. Taste doesn’t really rank high up as a necessity for me. Warm earth taste wasn’t a con for me, but could be for you.
- Cost, not as inexpensive as your basic coffee from the grocery store. Consuming a handful of mushroom varieties that aren’t inexpensive to grow high cost is to be expected.
My Overall Thoughts on RYZE Mushroom Coffee
Overall if you are looking to kick the coffee habit I’d say try it. Additionally if just seeking an alternative energy source to add to your daily routine. I’d encourage you to give RYZE mushroom coffee a chance. With a variety of tasks on the homestead, I need all the clean energy I can get.
RYZE does not leave you feeling jittery, or crashing, and hasn’t altered my sleep at all. I’d say overall I’m impressed and it’s something I will consistently keep here in my pantry.
I’ve been studying mushrooms for the past few months, and even dappled with growing some on my own. They truly are fascinating.

I hope to increase my knowledge and my growing skills regarding mushrooms. I recently read the book Mushroom Cultivation for Beginners by Michael York and found it to be a useful dive into all things mushrooms.
Mushrooms are fascinating for our overall health
Mushrooms are an under utilized addition to our daily diets, with many health benefits. I am not a doctor, so do your due diligence before ingesting if you suspect you may have an allergy to mushrooms.
So to answer the question Does RYZE Mushroom Coffee Actually Work? I’d say the answer is yes. After a few weeks of use I noticed a substantial decrease in my inflammation, improvement in digestion. Increased energy without the jitters, and I’ve grown quite fond of holding that warm mushroomy cup of coffee in my hands.
I would recommend you give RYZE mushroom coffee a chance, and please if you do let me know what you think!

I have considered mushroom coffee but I can’t get past the possible smell/texture. Our Vitamin Shoppe has a product called space tea I want to try with the mushrooms that’s sold in cans like their energy drinks that I have become addicted to. Thanks for this review, I never considered putting them into my protein shakes.
Hi Katherine! I would say with this specific one there isn’t a texture it mixes up like tea, but there is a warm earthy smell I can’t really explain other than that. I do really love it but prefer it in my protein shakes. I understand the addiction to energy drinks there is something to that jolt of energy! It has been such a big help to my gut health and my energy levels without the jitters! The tea with mushrooms sounds pretty good I’ll have to look at our Vitamin Shoppe thanks!
Thanks so much for this thorough review! I gave up coffee a few years ago but have recently been craving a cup. I am going to give this a try. 🍄 Happy New Year! 🥳
Happy New Year Michele! Let me know what you think when you do try it? It isn’t the same as a cup of coffee but I definitely enjoy it and it gives me more energy than a cup of warm tea.
Thank you! I will let you know. 🙏🏻🥂
I had my first cup yesterday and enjoyed it. I don’t do well with coffee, so I’m a bit tentative with Ryze because it does contain some coffee. I love mushrooms though and drink Chaga regularly. We’ll see how it goes. I plan to moderate with a cup now and then.
I totally understand I don’t do well with coffee either and was hesitant since any sort of coffee makes me jittery and anxious, it’s been over a month of me having one scoop a day and so far I’ve been feeling really good no weird jitters or random anxiety freak outs. Hopefully you like it and it doesn’t bother you with the little bit of coffee in it. I know that the package says to have two scoops a day for the first few weeks but that seemed like way too much for my overly sensitive system so I’m just sticking with one scoop. I feel like mushrooms are so underrated I love them too!
I think one scoop sounds like a good plan 🙂
